This section offers a great mix of scenic landscapes, beautiful beaches and exciting nature reserves.

From the northern shore of Haverdal, the hike continues in the dunes and through one of Halland’s oldest nature reserves – Haverdal. Here you can experience Lynga sand dune which, at 36 metres above sea level, is probably the tallest sand dune in Sweden. To protect the dunes from sinking, steps have been built up to the viewpoint, which has benches to rest on.

You then pass Vilshärad, where the trail runs along an old coast road, before turning off again towards the shallow beach at Ringenäs. The trail continues along the coastal meadows at Frösakull and on towards Tylebäck, an idyllic place where you can enjoy the peace of nature and perhaps take a break by Nyrebäcken, a charming stream that meanders through the dense alder woodland. The stream plays an important role in the local ecosystem, contributing to the water supply and creating habitats for fish, birds and other animals. In spring and summer, various species of nesting birds can often be seen along the banks, and the area is particularly beautiful in autumn with all the colourful foliage.

Finally, you reach Tylösand, one of Sweden’s best-known and most popular beaches. Here you can end your hike with some relaxing time on the beach, maybe with a picnic or a dip in the sea

About Difficulty Grading

The grading is tailored for Swedish lowland trails that adhere to the quality criteria established by the national framework for hiking trails.

Even and firm ground: The terrain is generally flat. The hike requires no need to use your hands for support. No obstacles. Bridges are always present when crossing waterways.

Loose or slippery ground combined with steep sections: Technical parts require hand support. There may be obstacles such as high stiles and longer stairs. Frequent sections with stones and/or roots. Boardwalks with deeper surrounding water.
