The trail follows the Högvadsån river valley towards the northeast for just over 12 kilometres. Nearly the entire section runs right by the river, which has quite a strong current. The trail is easy to walk along here, since it runs along the embankment of the “Pyttebanan” railway. This narrow-gauge railway operated from 1894 to 1959 between the coastal town of Falkenberg and Limmared in Västra Götaland. After leaving the flat embankment, you come back up to woodlands.

A little way off from the trail is Kogstorp’s campsite. The shelter there can accommodate 4–6 adults. There are a fireplace and a composting toilet here.
